ABOUT US
As an HSR certified Home Stager, Hathaway Home Staging offers services to homeowners and builders alike, giving them an effortless and inexpensive way to make their properties the best looking and fastest selling homes or rentals in their particular area.

I believe that the future of Real Estate Brokerage includes the services of Stagers and Re-designers. This may arise out of the current housing market woes but the need for perfectly “staged” or decorated homes will certainly influence the future of successful marketing and sales of homes. Whether these services come from the real estate, or the staging/redesign industry itself is not the point. Either way, the need is there and behooves any good real estate professional to recognize this.

If they find it impossible to do this service themselves, they should coordinate their work with a well-qualified stager and work hand-in-hand with this individual on all new listings. Most good Stagers are already contacting the brokerage community and beginning to develop this relationship.

I am also the ASHSR Chapter President for the Eastern Long Island Division. (That Is American Society of Home Stagers and Redesigners). In this position I am the leader in Educating, Marketing and Pioneering for the Home Staging and Redesigning industry for this area.

BACKGROUND
My background is in real estate most recently and in fashion retailing in the past. I am a licensed Broker Associate and I have listed and sold real estate in New York City and the Hamptons. As many other current real estate professionals, I have discovered that my retail sales and marketing is a natural background to have for a successful career in real estate.

In addition to this, in the last 15 years I have bought and sold numerous homes which I renovated, designed and furnished for rental and resale purposes. These projects were tremendous financial successes and made me realize that I wanted to do this in one form or another as a career.

THE CONCEPT
Home staging and re-design is a relatively new idea that has surfaced in the real estate business. This concept developed as a reaction to the desire and necessity to sell homes faster and at a higher price than in the past.

Under current new home and existing home sales trends, it is not surprising that the fastest sales and highest selling prices come from “turn key,” or perfectly prepared houses. This includes new homes, where builders now use various forms of “staging” to market and make their houses more appealing to the larger number of people who view their inventory. Most people know from experience that a furnished home sells faster than an empty one; builders are finding that staging a house improves their chances of selling faster, especially in a slow market

Recognizing this, I have decided to add staging and re-design to my list of real estate services.
It is the goal of Hathaway Home Staging to supply staging and re-design services to homeowners, builders and landlords. These services are of the highest standards and give our clients a roster of options to choose from, depending upon their individual needs.
